These photos of my, " Peeping Tom Cat ", were taken at the Punta Gorda Fl wood art show in 2023. I received a first place ribbon for relief carving in the intermediate level. I also received a second place ribbon for " Best In Show " intermediate level. My carving is of a cat peeping through a broken area of a wooden fence. The wood is Basswood. I used oil paint for the shading and the whiskers are broomcorn from a whisk broom. I belong to the Lake Placid Art League in Lake Placid Florida. As of late, we have a modest size group of carvers. We do have seasonal members, our friends from the north, and during the winter the seats fill up for wood carving. We also have a painting group that does very well year round. Every now and then we offer classes for several other types of art medium. If you are ever in the area, look us up. We would love to see you.
